Hi,

My name is Jade Master. I am currently finishing up my Ph.D at UC Riverside. I work primarily on the category theory of Petri nets, but more generally I'm interested in the category theory of discrete event dynamic systems (i.e. anything with a discrete set of states that evolves according to a possibly non-deterministic or parallel rule). I believe that there's a nice analogy between discrete event dynamic systems and continuous dynamical systems, and I think a lot about how to transfer the techniques and results which apply to continuous dynamical systems to the discrete case.

I am not an expert in topos theory, but I am excited to learn. In particular, I am curious about synthetic approaches to various subjects and different sorts of functors between topoi.
